The first thing we do after a mold inspection is to try to isolate the part of your home that has mold in it. We understand that the last thing that you want to have to deal with is finding a place or you and your family to live while we remove the mold in your home. In many cases, we can close off the ventilation to a room, seal it, and also use exhaust fans to ensure that the mold remains contained while we remove it. If we feel that the mold has spread too far, we’ll let you know because the health of you and your family is what we are most concerned with.
We’ll remove any materials that cannot be cleaned. There are times when the material in a home cannot be salvaged. This most often happens when dealing with porous materials such as drywall, carpet, and insulation.
We’ll then locate the source of the moisture that caused the mold problem because we don’t see the point in fixing the problem unless we fix was caused the problem in the first place. If we aren’t equipped to repair the problem then we’ll recommend a contractor that you could work with.
The next step is to thoroughly clean the area that has mold in it. We use a powerful cleanser that removes all traces of the mold and also kills the mold spores that are present.
The final step in the process is to restore your home to its former glory. After we’ve removed and disposed of any mold-covered materials that couldn’t be cleaned, and cleaned the rest, our contractors will get to work repairing the damage.
